Back in January I wrote about our target of walking 1000 miles this year.
Now that the year is 50% done, I thought I’d write an update.
So far this year, I’ve walked 591 miles.
I’m really pleased with that, and not just because I’m 91 miles over my mid-year target. Also because in February/March I was dealing with a serious skin condition on one foot which was causing me a lot of pain. Walking was getting quite tricky.
Visits to my GP hadn’t really got me anywhere but a visit to a skin specialist changed everything: she diagnosed the real problem, gave me some medication, and I was all better within a week.
So, the foot is no longer a problem and I can walk without pain. This is a good thing.
This is the first time I’ve bothered to actually record any activity data on a regular basis, and I’m glad I am because now I know things.
So. I’m on target for 1000 miles by the end of the year, as long as I keep up the current pace. Good good. Carry on.
