A pretty good week. Mood improved, health improved. The creative bones feeling not so creaky.

Work-wise, I have a chat with a potential new client next week, which always feels exciting.

Via existing clients, I’m currently spending time in a government department again. There’s a familiar vibe and rhythm to it; you can sense the humming civil service machine underneath. This particular department isn’t greatly affected by the Political Upheavals Of The Day, but you can sense them too. They lurk behind every door in Whitehall. Decisions that will affect millions of us, for decades to come, are made by officials clutching Pret sandwiches as they march along Victoria Street. Their days are probably wall-to-wall meetings; if they’re lucky enough to have time for a lunchtime sandwich run, it’s probably the only time they get to think.
