Every summer, the residents of Woolley Street in Bradford on Avon hold a mini festival in the road.
A stage goes up outside The George pub, bands play, beer is drunk. There are stalls selling things, and entertainment for small kids.
We took our small kid there and met a bunch of local friends and enjoyed the atmosphere.
What’s nice about this event is how tiny it is. Woolley Street is not very long, and not very wide. You can go from one end of the festival to the other in not very many steps.
But despite that, it feels festival-y. Having the pub right there helps, I think.
